Mr. Jean-Marc Lacarrère

Jean-Marc Lacarrère, 58, is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a degree in business economics from the University of Paris X. In 1990, Jean-Marc Lacarrère joined the finance department of Canal+, before being appointed in 1994 to set up and manage a music publishing and production company, La Bande Son, which became part of StudioCanal. In 1998, he took part in the creation of the i>télévision news channel (now CNews), of which he was General Counsel until the end of 2001. In 2002, Jean-Marc Lacarrère joined Content Participations, an investment and consultancy structure active in media and production, set up by Alex Berger and Benjamin de Rothschild, where he became Deputy CEO and a Director. In 2010, the management of the Bolloré Média Group entrusted him with the creation and management of Direct Cinéma, a film co-production and pre-purchasing company which became C8 Films when the D8 and D17 channels were acquired by the Canal+ Group in 2012. Following the takeover, he became Director of Cinema Investment and a member of the Executive Committee of the Canal+ Group's free-to-air division. In 2015, Jean-Marc Lacarrère was appointed President of CanalPlay and Director of International SVOD for the Canal+ Group, before joining Vivendi Content in 2017 as Director of New Production Projects. In 2020, he founded Harvest Mood Films, a consultancy specializing in media and production, and co-producer of cinema and audiovisual fiction projects.
